Ontario Integration Initiative is a peer-led, research-informed organization delivering culturally grounded programs that strengthen belonging, wellness, leadership, and economic participation across Ontario.
Ontario Integration Initiative was founded in response to persistent gaps experienced by newcomers, Black African and Caribbean (BAC) communities, Indigenous peoples, and 2SLGBTQI+ individuals navigating systems not designed with lived experience at the centre.
OII emerged from grassroots community work — where trust, cultural safety, and peer leadership proved essential to meaningful integration. What began as local, relationship-based support has grown into a multi-city initiative grounded in evidence, partnerships, and community accountability.
